Kevin Hart was left feeling furious after popular streamer Kai Cenat pulled a mean prank on him during a recent Twitch livestream. The actor and comedian, aged 44, made an appearance on Kai’s channel, but things took an uncomfortable turn when the content creator presented Kevin with a ‘gift’. Kai, 22, claimed to have put a lot of thought into the present, but it turned out to be a joke about Kevin’s height. Kevin, who is famously five-foot, two inches tall, was less than amused to find a step stool inside the gift.
Actor and comedian Kevin, aged 44, made an appearance on Kai’s channel last Thursday. However, things took an awkward turn when Kai presented Kevin with a ‘gift’ during the livestream.
Kai mentioned that he got the gift to express his appreciation for Kevin. He humorously compared their partnership to iconic duos like Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal, Batman and Robin, Zack and Cody, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.
Excitedly, Kevin responded, “I didn’t expect a gift to start off with a bang!” Kai then left the room and returned with a large box wrapped in white paper and a bow, emphasizing how much thought and passion he had put into selecting the gift for Kevin.
Kai, aged 22, expressed that he had carefully deliberated on the gift he gave to Kevin. However, Kevin’s reaction was one of disappointment when he uncovered the contents, which turned out to be a playful jab at his height.
When Kevin unwrapped the box and saw the black step stool inside, his expression instantly changed. He joked that it was both “pricey” and “practical,” stating, “You can use this anytime and I think you deserve it more than anyone else.”
However, as Kevin began to open the gift, he started to suspect that it might be a prank due to Kai’s excitement. “Is this going to be some kind of joke?” he asked warily, but Kai reassured him, saying, “No, it’s going to be something great. I promise.”
“Don’t have anything pop out of this box, man, don’t mess with me,” Kevin cautioned. His face fell as he revealed the black step stool within.
After a few moments of awkward silence, Kai cheered, saying, “I know this will come in handy for you, bro. Just imagine all the stuff you can reach now!”
“Thanks. This is pretty cool,” Kevin responded coolly, shooting an annoyed look at the camera. Reluctantly, he tried out the step stool at Kai’s insistence.
Despite the awkward tension, the two moved on and continued their livestream for another 20 minutes.
Kai convinced Kevin to give it a try, even though he was hesitant at first.
After the encounter, social media was abuzz with discussions about it. One user on X, previously known as Twitter, was prompt to mention that Kai is actually only slightly taller than Kevin.
People praised Kevin for being a good sport and playfully teased that he might be regretting his decision to appear on Kai’s stream.
In February, Kai took on footballer Shannon Sharpe after he referred to him as ‘three feet tall’ during the NBA’s All-Star weekend. The incident was widely discussed on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), with some pointing out that Kai is only slightly taller than Kevin. Some viewers called Kevin a ‘good sport’ and teased that he seemed to ‘regret’ appearing on Kai’s stream.
During the All-Star game, Kai felt overlooked by both his teammates and Shannon, who was the head coach. What ensued was Shannon’s ‘three feet tall’ comment on ESPN’s First Take, and when Kai later joined his podcast to talk about the game, he didn’t hold back.
“Why did you call me three feet tall?” Kai confronted Shannon, clearly displeased. “Stop lying to the people.”
Refuting his rumored five-foot, four-inch height, Kai insisted he was taller and even displayed an Instagram highlight reel of him practicing for a celebrity match against kids.
“You’re playing against children, Kai,” Shannon pointed out. “No way, those are almost teenagers,” Kai defended.
Despite the banter, they reconciled by the end of the interview, leaving on good terms.
