Brody, the newbie in question, was tasked with an important job on his first day. Despite being new to the scene, he appeared unfazed and adorable. When the pivotal moment of his debut arrived, he calmly shut his eyes and drifted off to sleep on the Chief of Police’s desk.

The Bristol Police Department in Rhode Island has welcomed its adorable new officer, a 12-week-old chocolate lab serving as the department’s therapy dog. Despite falling asleep during his swearing-in ceremony, Brody the pup received nothing but warm understanding from his colleagues. It was his first day on the job, so maybe he didn’t get much sleep the night before or didn’t realize that desks aren’t meant for napping. Either way, Brody is already melting hearts with his cute and cuddly presence.
As the other officers were conducting his swearing-in, this little pup had other plans. He blissfully drifted off into dreamland, completely unaware of the important police business happening around him. Officer Keith Medeiros, Brody’s handler, placed him down on the desk, and the adorable dog just couldn’t resist the temptation to take a nap. As he laid down, he got so comfortable that he closed his eyes and dozed off in the middle of the workday. What a cutie!

Medeiros shared her excitement about Brody interacting with the community people and students from the Bristol-Warren Regional School District.
