On the night of December 22nd, someone left Mam Nata in front of the IAPA. To make matters worse, she was already eight weeks pregnant and close to giving birth.
The Instituto Amor em Patas (IAPA) discovered a dog who was in a very weak condition and couldn’t even stand up. The dog was also extremely terrified, which took some time for the shelter volunteers to calm her down. Her owner left her because of her fear about her upcoming puppies. At first, the dog was very guarded and used all of her energy to keep the volunteers away from her, as she was trying to protect her unborn puppies. However, eventually, she began to relax and became more sociable with the volunteers.
“Wow, just take a look at her tummy – it seems like there could be around 13 or 14 little ones in there! We’re aiming to get her check-up scheduled for tomorrow since she’s not feeling too strong,” shared one of the volunteers.
Get ready for a lengthy evening as we conduct an ultrasound to ensure Natajuli and her babies are doing well. After receiving necessary assistance, Natajuli returns to the shelter and successfully delivers a healthy baby boy.
Can you believe it? Natajuli just gave birth to 14 beautiful puppies! I took them all to the vet for a quick check-up, including an ultrasound and blood tests. Natajuli seemed a little embarrassed by all the attention, but her babies were all healthy and chunky. I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed with joy when I saw her smiling proudly with her adorable little babies. They’re just so lovable, I could kiss them all day!
Oops, I completely forgot to give these 14 cute little things a name! It’s going to be quite a challenge to come up with the perfect names for each one. I would love your help in naming them, so feel free to suggest your favorite names in the comments below!
