Following the shocking discovery of a puppy whose muzzle was tightly bound with a hairband, she was compassionately handed over to a sanctuary that safeguards animals and ensures they will not be euthanized.
The hairband was deeply embedded, reaching down to the bone, causing severe swelling that tripled the size of her small face.
Cincinnati Animal CARE, located in the United States, provided her with immediate and necessary medical attention. The hairband was carefully removed and a large wound resulting from it was stitched up.
The shelter employees affectionately named her Tiffany, inspired by their favorite pop artist from the eighties.
The hairband was likely used as a means to restrain the young puppy from barking, a cruel practice that sometimes involves the use of zip ties.
The shocking extent of the mistreatment came to light through graphic Facebook posts shared by the animal center.
Tiffany bravely endured her emergency care and spent the night under the watchful care of a member of the medical team.
In a recent update, it was stated that Tiffany is currently recovering well, eating and drinking normally. She is being lovingly cared for by the kind-hearted individual who found her.
Tiffany’s facial swelling has significantly reduced and her wounds are in the process of healing since she received medical attention. Cincinnati Animal CARE is actively searching for any details regarding Tiffany’s case, as well as information about the person responsible for her abuse. In a commendable effort, PETA has even announced a reward for anyone who can provide leads leading to an arrest in this matter.
